Rumble Rockets

A racing game immersed in true 3-D space. Rocket-packed racers tumble through track markers that twist up, down, left and right as asteroids and other deep-space obstacles whizz by.

Purpose: Class-wide final project, Game Development course, Purdue University
Position: Lead Designer
Team Size: 16 people
Platform: Mobile devices, using JavaME

Accomplishments: I designed the complete game concept and mechanics as well as wrote up several pre-production documents, including a professional full Functional Specification. As the team began production, I coordinated with the art and programming teams. I consulted with the art director on how game mechanics affect the art. For example, I explained how to design the rocket packs and wings so that they would make sense with the flight controls. Finally, I also jumped in to produce a few game-ready art assets.

Break Dance Fighter

A 2-D fighter with a rhythmic dancing twist and a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. The action takes place with a revolutionary control scheme that blurs the line between character movement and attacks.

Position: Programmer, Concept Artist
Team Size: 4 people
Platform: Mobile devices, using JavaME

Accomplishments: In addition to helping brainstorm and design the game concept and mechanics, I created the concept art and the look and feel of the game. The pre-production documents were completed as a team effort. I worked as a programmer for this project, coding with the JavaME platform.
